Profile:?Covering an area of 4600 ㎡, Meiyuan Xincun Memorial Hall consists of the former site of the CPC Delegation Office, Exhibition Hall of Historical Data of Nanjing Negotiation between KMT and the CPC, bronze statue of Zhou Enlai and Zhou Enlai Library. It?has been awarded titles such as National Demonstration Base Of Patriotism Education, National Training?Base Of Clean Government, National Excellent Social Education Base, National Outstanding Unit of Off-campus Education for Juveniles, National?Revolution-themed Tourist Spot and National AAAA?Tourist Spot.
As the place for the last round of the negotiation between the CPC and KMT, also being thelandmark chapter in the history of the CPC, Meiyuan Xincun?witnessed the 10-month-long negotiation struggle between the CPC delegation led by Zhou Enlai and the KMT Government?delegation. The CPC delegation resolutely followed the instructions of the CPC Central Committee and carried out patriotic democratic movement extensively in KMT-controlled regions, exposing the hidden agenda of civil war under the peace-talk cover of KMT. Such move of CPC helped to won friends and educate?the public, making tremendous contributions to winning the?final?victories of the War of Liberation.
In 2017 and 2021, Meiyuan Xincun Memorial Hall upgraded the main exhibits, renovated the building environment and constructed the “Meiyuan Patriotism” CPC Party spirit education?site compounded by 5 parts including memorial bronze statues, CPC oath display, mini CPC education hall, historical site revisits?and Meiyuan Lecturing Podium. It serves to innovate ways to narrate well the?stories of Meiyuan Xincun,disseminating revolutionary culture and pass on the patriotism gene.?
