Profile:?The Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge is the first dual-purpose highway-railway bridge designed and built by?Chinese. Five decades have passed from 1968 since it was commissioned into traffic. It epitomizes not only?a special historical period?but also the collective memory of a generation of Chinese people.
Nanjing Yangtze River BridgeMemorial Hall is the first memorial halldisplaying the historical background and cultural relics of Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge. Structured with five showrooms, namely the “Historical Value”, “Great Spirit”, “Memory&Dialogue”, “Science and ArtisticValue” and “Lasting Glory”, Nanjing Yangtze River BridgeMemorial Hall displays substantial amounts of valuable historical archives?and cultural relics, most of which donated by government authorities, institutions, enterprises and citizens in Jiangsu Province. During the preparation of the memorial hall, some exhibits and items were displayed in major artistic?events?and venues such as SUSAS, the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Some exhibits represented China and participated in 2018 London Design Biennial. Among the exhibits in 40 country pavilions, exhibits from Nanjing Yangtze River BridgeMemorial Hall?were appraised the?Special Recognition Award, showing?to the world China wisdom and China spirit.
