Profile:?Memorial Hall of Nanjing Anti-Japanese Aviation Martyrs, sits?next to the Anti-Japanese Aviation Martyr Cemetery at the north foot of Nanjing Zijin Mountain?and?covers?an area of 30mu and a building area of 2,200㎡. Integrated with “cemetery”, “monument” and “memorial hall”, it is China’s first and also the only memorial hall of anti-Japanese internationalaviation martyrs.
Consisting of 4?indoor halls of “Bravery in Fighting Japanese?Invaders”, “International Aids to China”, “High-flying Heroism” and “Commemorating Martyrs” and 2 outdoor exhibition areas of sculpture displays?and?fighter jet?models, the memorial hall stages a panoramic snapshot of the?heroic deeds of air forces from China, US and the Soviet Union fighting the Japanese invaders through text, pictures, physical objects and multimedia and digital rendering. It has become a newly added base for?patriotism and internationalism education.
On September 01, 2014, China State Council announced the first directory of 80 national anti-Japanese war Memorial facilities and sites. Memorial Hall of Nanjing Anti-Japanese Aviation Martyrs was included in the list. Memorial Hall of Nanjing Anti-Japanese Aviation Martyrs, is an important place of commemorating the anti-Japanese aviation heroes by people from all walks of life at home and abroad. It’s an important historical witness of the Chinese nation and the world people joining their forces in fighting the fascist aggressors, an important base of pass on the spirit of anti-aggression and continuing patriotism education. It is also a bridge and a bond of international friendly exchanges and friendship of both sides across?the Taiwan Strait.
