Nanjing Atmospheric Environment and Green Development Research Institute (NAGR) is one of the new R&D institutes established by strategic cooperation between Nanjing Pukou High-tech Zone, Nanjing University, and the talent team of Nanjing University College of Atmospheric Sciences in early 2019.
Relying the Joint International Research Laboratory of Atmospheric and Earth System Sciences of Nanjing University, the research institute unites the superior teams in the direction of air pollution prevention and green development in the university, aiming at promoting the transformation and application of relevant achievements, forming a professional team that can support and serve the national and local air pollution prevention and green development, and building a platform for training professional and technical personnel facing the business needs of relevant industry departments, as well as cooperation and exchange between relevant environmental protection industries at home and abroad.
At the initial stage of construction, the main business directions include: super-station operation and maintenance and big data analysis, research and development of new monitoring equipment platform, meteorological industry extension services, and air pollution prevention and control policies. In Tianjin Binhai New Area, the city digital twin technology has been applied to realize the global supervision of hazardous chemicals.
