Nanjing Delegation Led by Zhou Hongbo Heads to Italy for Economic and Cultural Exchanges

当地时间3月2日至4日，市委书记周红波率南京市代表团在意大利开展经贸洽谈和文化交流系列活动。其间，代表团先后拜访联合国粮食及农业组织总部、中国驻意大利大使馆等机构，走访马波斯集团、布雷博集团等企业，举行文化产业交流会、意大利中小企业合作交流会等活动，深化南京和意大利在经贸、产业、文化等领域的务实合作。联合国粮农组织总干事屈冬玉、中国驻意大使贾桂德分别会见代表团一行。

From 2 to 4 March, Zhou Hongbo, Secretary of the CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee, led a delegation to Italy for a series of high-level economic and cultural engagements. The delegation paid visit to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, and the Chinese Embassy in Italy.? They also met with executives from companies such as Marposs Group, Brembo Group, and Figeac Aéro. Cultural exchanges and SMEs cooperation talks were held to deepen practical cooperation between Nanjing and Italy in the fields of economy, trade, industry, and culture.

总部设在罗马的联合国粮食及农业组织近年来与南京在多个领域开展了卓有成效的合作。3月2日，联合国粮农组织总干事屈冬玉会见了周红波一行。

Based in Rome, the FAO has worked effectively with Nanjing in multiple fields in recent years. On March 2nd, the delegation met with Qu Dongyu, Director-General of FAO, to discuss cooperation in agricultural innovation and sustainability.

周红波说，南京的农业发展具备良好基础和条件，当前正紧跟农业强国战略部署，加快建设现代化农业强市。希望与粮农组织围绕“同一健康”行动计划、农药可持续安全应用、农业科技创新以及“更好生产、更好营养、更好环境、更好生活”农业可持续发展实践探索等方面开展合作。

Zhou Hongbo highlighted Nanjing’s commitment to enhance its modern agricultural strengths following the national strategy of building a strong agricultural nation, proposing joint initiatives in the “One Health Joint Plan of Action”, sustainable and safe pesticide application, and agri-tech innovation.

在罗马，周红波专程拜访了中国驻意大使馆，感谢大使馆长期以来给予南京在对意合作中的指导和支持，回顾了近年来南京与意大利在经贸合作、项目推进、官方交往和民间交流等方面的成果，表示将用好中意建交55周年契机，精心组织开展好重点活动，扎实推动文化交流、友城合作、产业协作等合作取得务实成果，以高质量地方外事工作助力高水平对外开放，更好服务国家总体外交大局。

The delegation also visited the Chinese Embassy in Italy to express gratitude for its long-term guidance and support in Nanjing's cooperation with Italy. Zhou Hongbo reviewed the achievements in recent years and expressed the plans to leverage the 55th anniversary of China-Italy ties to advance cultural exchanges, sister-city partnerships, and industrial collaboration.?

贾桂德大使表示，南京是我对外开放和经贸合作的前沿，在对意合作中基础和条件较好、契合度较高，愿为两地各界深化互利合作发挥桥梁纽带作用。

Ambassador Jia Guide praised Nanjing’s proactive role in bilateral cooperation and stated that Nanjing is a key city for China's opening-up and economic cooperation with Italy, and he is willing to facilitate further cooperation.

45年前，南京与佛罗伦萨成为江苏与欧洲的首对友城。3月3日，佛罗伦萨市市长富纳罗在市政厅热情欢迎周红波一行到访，双方就深化友城结好、人文交流、经贸合作进行了会谈，并围绕数字赋能传统文化、促进青少年往来等具体事项进行交流。

45 years ago, Nanjing and Florence became the first sister cities between Jiangsu and Europe. On March 3rd, Florence's Mayor Sara Funaro welcomed the delegation at the city hall. Two cities reaffirmed their commitment to cultural and economic synergy and agreed to expand cooperation in digital cultural preservation and youth exchanges.

在佛罗伦萨中意设计交流中心，周红波与佛罗伦萨市政府代表、意大利工匠与中小企业协会代表等各界人士，共同参加了文化产业交流会暨南京—佛罗伦萨结好45周年庆祝活动。

At Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center, Zhou Hongbo joined representatives from the Florence municipal government and the Italian Craftsmen and SME Association for Nanjing-Florence Cultural Industry Exchange Conference and the 45th Anniversary Celebration of Nanjing-Florence Friendship.

周红波表示，南京与佛罗伦萨在文化艺术、创意经济等领域有高度的相似性和互补性，有条件肩负起推动中意文明互鉴、激发文化活力的使命，共同落实好两国元首“将文化遗产地合作打造为中意人文交流新亮点”的愿景。活动中，双方共同启动了“共同的遗产、共同的世界”合作项目，市有关单位和企业分别与佛罗伦萨双年展、五月歌剧院等签署了合作协议，与佛罗伦萨双年展建立展会联动、艺术家孵化等合作机制，与国际机构围绕历史古城遗产保护等深化了合作。

Zhou noted that the two cities have similarities and complementarities in culture and creative economy, and are well-positioned to promote Sino-Italian cultural exchanges and enhance cultural vitality. During the event, a landmark collaboration project, Shared Heritage, Shared World, was launched to promote joint cultural heritage conservation. Agreements were signed with institutions including the Florence Biennale and the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino to foster artistic exchanges and historical site preservation.

周红波还拜访了我驻佛罗伦萨总领事尹琦，就搭建合作交流平台、务实推动两市友城交往进行深入探讨。

Zhou Hongbo also met with Consul General Yin Qi of the Chinese Consulate-General in Florence to discuss building cooperation platforms and promoting pragmatic exchanges between the two sister cities.

米兰是欧洲四大工业中心之一，是意大利科技创新、新兴产业发展领军城市。3月4日，我市在米兰举办的中小企业合作交流会得到了意政商各界的热情响应，米兰市副市长安娜·斯卡武佐，意大利中国理事基金会、意大利机床机器人和自动化系统制造商协会、汽车工业协会有关负责人，以及一批知名企业负责人参加。

In Milan, one of Europe's four major industrial centers and a leader in technological innovation and emerging industries, the delegation hosted a cooperation exchange meeting for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on March 4th, which was well-received by Italian political and business circles. Deputy Mayor of Milan Anna Scavuzzo and industry leaders attended the event.

周红波介绍了南京的城市特质和优势产业，并就推动两地合作提出四点建议：一是携手深化产业投资，推动“意大利制造”与南京产业精准对接，打造互惠互利的产业链供应链；二是携手开展科技创新，推动“意大利研发”与南京制造深度融合；三是携手推动绿色转型，在绿色制造、绿色能源以及降碳减排等领域加强合作；四是携手促进人文交流，以互学互鉴促进心灵相通。

Zhou Hongbo introduced Nanjing's unique charm and its advantageous industries and outlined a four-pillar roadmap for collaboration, including: 1) Industrial Synergy: aligning Made in Italy expertise with Nanjing’s manufacturing strengths; 2) Tech Integration: Merging Italian R&D with Nanjing’s production capabilities; 3) Green Transition: Partnering on sustainable manufacturing and carbon reduction; and 4) Cultural Dialogue: Enhancing mutual understanding through people-to-people exchanges.?

在米兰，周红波还分别会见了意大利马波斯集团、布雷博集团、法国飞卓宇航公司等企业高管，就拓展在宁投资、加强创新合作、推进重点项目以及共建产业生态进行具体会商，见证了相关合作协议签署。

Zhou Hongbo also met with executives from Marposs Group, Brembo Group, and Figeac Aéro, discussing expanding investments and joint innovation projects in Nanjing, and witnessing the signing of cooperation agreements.?

周红波说，意大利很多企业是全球产业链关键领域的“单项冠军”，南京将全力营造市场化、法治化、国际化营商环境，更好发挥科教、人才、产业优势，支持意大利优秀企业深耕中国市场、实现互利共赢。

Zhou Hongbo remarked that many Italian companies are “Single Champions” in key areas of the global industrial chain. He pledged to bolster a business-friendly environment, leveraging the city’s talent and industrial advantages to support Italian firms in the Chinese market for mutual benefits.
